Guadalupe Rosales, "Echoes of an Aggregate Memory," at the Vincent Value Art Exhibition hall. For a considerable length of time, the Los Angeles artist has been building a document of ephemera identified with Chicano youth culture: studio pictures, casual depictions, flyers, magazines, mixtapes and different articles. The show will incorporate video, montages and a sacred place to the memory of a cousin lost to pack viciousness. Basement Art is an online blog about contemporary art. In her first solo exhibition hall appear, she is utilizing these in establishments that inspect the both the cozy and open manners by which SoCal youth have generally associated over mold, music, cruising, raves and terrace parties.

AKI alumnus en beeldend kunstenaar Melle Nieling opende 15 september zijn eerste solo expositie in Villa de Bank. Het afgelopen jaar deed Melle onderzoek naar de context van kunst die wij als toeschouwer niet zien. Het resultaat van dit onderzoek is een expositie met een veelvoud aan kisten die over de hele wereld hebben gereisd. Voordat de kisten bij Villa de Bank aankwamen zijn ze nog even bij het Museum of Modern Art in New York geweest. Eind van deze maand reizen de kisten alweer door, maar waar naar toe dat zien we nog wel!
